About the Choral Director

Cynthia Teprovich directs and educates the grade seven and the grade eighth level choirs, is the founder and director of the state and national award winninga cappella choir known as Messa Di Voce, and teaches grade 7 general music classes at R. E. Strayer Middle School. Her Bachelor of Music Education is from College Misericordia in Dallas, Pennsylvania, and her Master of Music Education is from West Chester University with certifications in Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze, and with an emphasis in piano performance. Additional graduate vocal and choral studies were done at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, under Frauke Haasemann, and at Pennsylvania State University under Fred Waring. Cynthia had an article published in PMEA News, Fall Issue 2011, titled "Keying into the Musical Keyboard," and she holds professional memberships with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Pennsylvania Music Education Association (PMEA), and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).
