The grade 8 science units are designed to engage students in a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to learning that focuses on the characteristics and structure of matter and the forces and energy that influence them.

By the end of the grade 8 course, students will be able to:

  • Write a laboratory report using collective class information.
  • Use evidence to support conclusions.
  • Design and conduct controlled experiments.
