Dear Strayer Families,
It’s hard to believe we have wrapped up our second week of school! I continue to be incredibly proud of our students as they settle into the rhythms of the school year. They’ve done an outstanding job adjusting to routines and expectations, and their positive attitudes and eagerness to learn have set the tone for a successful year ahead.
Our teachers are fully underway with engaging and creative lessons across all subjects. It’s been exciting to walk through classrooms and see students actively participating, asking thoughtful questions, and collaborating with their peers. The energy in the building is electric, and we are thrilled to see such enthusiasm for learning.
This week, our students and staff executed a flawless fire drill, demonstrating responsibility and cooperation throughout the entire process. Safety is a top priority, and I want to commend everyone for taking the drill seriously and handling it with such professionalism.
We had an amazing time celebrating our Philadelphia Eagles spirit! From green gear to team chants, the excitement was contagious and brought our school community together. Some lucky students even scored extra Eagles spirit items through our PBIS rewards program!
As always, we encourage all students to continue putting forth their best effort in the classroom and beyond. They’re already off to a fantastic start, and we’re looking forward to the weeks ahead as we dive deeper into the curriculum, launch clubs and activities, and continue fall sports.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we’re making Strayer Middle School a place where students learn, grow, and thrive.
