Calling all actors, signers, dancers, or musical theater enthusiasts! Auditions for Strayers Musical are coming up at the end of October! Students interested in being an actor in Beauty and the Beast Jr. must sign up for an audition slot for one day below:
Auditions will consist of students singing a song of their choice (no longer than one minute and preferably from a musical), cold readings from the script, and a short dance combination (this will be taught at auditions).
You may sing your song a cappella, or you can sing it with an accompaniment/karaoke track (no vocals allowed on the track) on your phone or computer.
You only need to come to one day of the auditions, but please expect to stay for the entire audition window (2:55pm to 4:50pm).
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays / 2:55 pm to 4:50 pm starting November 2nd.
Starting on 2/8, rehearsals every day after school until 5:30 pm
Tech Week: 2/22 to 2/24—every day after school until 5:30 pm.
Performances: 2/25 and 2/26 at 7 pm, 2/27 at 2 pm and 7 pm (call time for performers will be 2 hours before each performance)
All rehearsals and performances will take place at Strayer Middle School.
